Lucy is a Print Designer and Illustrator with a strong background in visual arts. Specialising in surface pattern design across varied creative platforms, her love of colour, pattern and surface detail has attracted a diverse portfolio of national and international clients. She has many years experience creating designs for textiles, bed linen, interior furnishings, ceramic tableware and children’s products. With a distinctive illustrative style, Lucy works with traditional art forms such as drawing and painting in inks and watercolour, as well as computer illustration, often combining both mediums. Prior to setting up her own business in 2000, Lucy worked in England for Wedgwood as a tableware pattern designer. She now works from her studio in Melbourne, where her cat Jolly and a cup of tea are always close by! In addition to working as a freelance illustrator and designer, Lucy has produced her own line of illustrated products which are available from her online shop.
